Student life in Ukraine is cheaper than life in other European countries. So, living And Studying in Ukraine is easy and affordable for an international student. Costs of living in Ukraine varies widely depending on the region, the city, your lifestyle and habits. Naturally, large cities like Kiev & Odessa have a higher costs of living than smaller cities. Ukraine has a relatively low cost of living. Ukraine prides itself in having Europe's largest international student population, will nearly 60,000 students. An international student will need to have about $150 to $ 250 per month available for living costs.
Public transportation in Ukraine is very good. Yes it varies from city to city, for example if you are in big cities you have many options like Shuttle buses, trams, trolley buses and even metro in Kiev and Kharkov but even in the smaller cities you can use it on daily bases to get around. Taxis are relatively cheaper than other European countries and if you use them they won’t burn your pocket. If you are rich you can buy a car to move around.
Student life in Ukraine does not differ a lot from that in other European countries. Students study, meet new people, hang out, learn new things etc. Most of the students live on campus (some rent apartments). Student Hostel fee generally does not go higher than 60 USD per month. Campuses have all the facilities for safe and comfort stay for students. University campuses usually includes: libraries, hospitals, gyms, conference and concert halls, laboratories and other training facilities and security.
